Coatings Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a driven Coatings Technician to assist The Coatings Authority team with accurately and efficiently meeting production goals on a daily and weekly basis. This position will be responsible for performing tasks in painting, concrete coatings, and cabinet refinishing to include but not limited to basic tasks of prepping and cleanup of projects. The Coatings Technician will play a key role in working amongst the Authority Companies, helping the team maintain a safe work site, and ensuring projects run smoothly and are completed within the designated timeline. *We will cross train between the Coatings Technician and Carpenter Assistant Positions.
OBJECTIVES
- Broad range of tasks in prepping, painting, concrete coatings, and cabinet refinishing.
- Properly operate all painting, concrete, and blasting equipment.
- Adhere to training principles of the AUTHORICOAT process.
- Inspect and manage quality of all work performed.
- Handle, store, and dispose of all hazardous materials properly.
- Follow all standard work procedures.
- Adhere to all safety standards established by the company.
- Assist to identify waste in process or procedures to enhance the efficiency of the company.
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Demonstrate knowledge of products being installed and how to install material appropriately
- Proficiency in understanding painting and coatings principles and methods
- Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 1 year of prior experience in general labor or construction-related tasks preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time
- Must be able to safely work with equipment
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination

Carpenter Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a driven Carpenter Assistant to assist the Carpentry Team with accurately and efficiently meeting production goals on a daily and weekly basis. This position will be responsible for the set up and take down at all worksites, gaining experience on carpentry processes, and building skillset to move up to a Carpenter position. The Carpenter Assistant will play a key role in assisting with safe and accurate installations, helping the team maintain a safe work site, and ensuring projects run smoothly and are completed within the designated timeline. The Carpenter Assistant works under the direction of the Carpenter, Lead Carpenter, and Job Supervisor to ensure optimal outcomes for all projects. *We will cross train between the Coatings Technician and Carpenter Assistant Positions.
OBJECTIVES
- Manage all equipment set up at worksites and develop a consistent routine.
- Once job has been completed for the day, ensure all tools have been picked up and the job site is clean prior to leaving.
- Follow instructions from Carpenter on how to properly use equipment and tools.
- Measure and cut materials for installation accurately and efficiently.
- Track all material waste to ensure we are not wasting materials on sites and advise on more efficient waste management processes.
- Assist the Carpenter in achieving daily and weekly production goals.
- Adhere to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
- Assist team to ensure project has been completed timely an in accordance with project completion deadline.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
The Job Supervisor is a driven individual who has the ability to multitask, handle the
management of several projects at a time, build relationships within the team, and desires to
be hands on in a positive environment working with amazing customers in our region! The
Job Supervisor will work on residential home remodeling and new construction and addition
projects. The Job Supervisor will be responsible for performing tasks to include but not be
limited to management and oversight of all construction projects, coordination and
communication with subcontractors, communication with customers, and will work
collaboratively with and amongst the Authority Companies team members. The Job
Supervisor must be able to perform basic tasks of project management, scheduling, general
carpentry, demo, framing, finish, prepping, and cleanup of projects along with finish
carpentry tasks such as hanging doors, installing base & casing, creating and installing
custom tables, furniture, and shelving, and must have excellent communication skills.
OBJECTIVES
- Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors for the execution of construction
projects - Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
- Report and escalate issues and outcomes to the Project Manager and management
as needed - Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with customers to take detailed orders and clarify specific requirements of each
project - Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on
financial analysis in collaboration with management - Use and continually develop leadership skills
- Perform general carpentry related services as needed to include general framing and
finish carpentry, drywall, small taping/texturing projects, flooring, finish carpentry, and
miscellaneous general services - Perform other related duties as assigned in conjunction within the Authority
Companies - Assists the Project Manager in the oversight of the Operations Team and is involved in the hiring, firing, onboarding, and training of the operations personnel.
- Performs administrative oversight of personnel, subcontractors, management of materials and equipment, and projects to ensure successful outcomes
COMPETENCIES
- Proven working experience in project management or job supervisor related positions
- Excellent ability to multitask and thrives in an ever-changing environment with the
ability to prioritize and communicate required changes in the schedule to the team
and customers - Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Buildertrend software

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- General carpentry and finish carpentry experience required
- Prior experience driving a truck and pulling a trailer required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in varying environments.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, walk, climb, bend, and twist; use hands and fingers, handle
objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. - Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to changes in
temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, and fumes; working with interior and
exterior projects. - Must be able to wear a respirator, protective gloves, and body suit as applicable.
