From Dated to Delightful

The project story

How this project came together

1. 1

   The challenge

The main bathroom had a raised tiled tub deck, a brass-framed shower enclosure and oak cabinetry that felt heavy and dated. The homeowners wanted a cleaner, more modern look carried through the bathrooms and into the kitchen.

2. 2

   What we did

We replaced the brass-framed shower with a frameless glass enclosure, large-format gray tile walls and a pebble-stone floor, and installed a new soaking tub surrounded in matching tile. Studio A designed gray flat-panel cabinetry for the double vanity with a center storage tower, round mirrors and white countertops, and carried the look into a second bathroom with marble-look tile, a recessed niche and white hexagon tile. In the kitchen, gray flat-panel cabinets with long black pulls pair with white countertops, a white hexagon tile backsplash, stainless appliances and an island with seating that opens to the dining area and its wood floors and modern pendant lighting.

   The result

The home now feels bright and current from the kitchen to the bathrooms, with a consistent gray-and-white palette that ties every space together.
